“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” – Isaiah 42:16

And we’re off!

The Lord has been guiding the planning of this trip for over a year.  From the initial pull to do documentaries, to guiding the topics, to the possible locations and people…every highlighted point on our map has been slowly outlined by the Lord.

The packing took days, but our travel companion "Blue" is filled to the gills!

Although the good-bye hugs last a little longer than usual, the anticipation we had built up can’t help but overflow into our smiles!  And as we hit the road an excitement that comes from the realization that something wonderful is about to unfold envelopes us!

And the Lord does not disappoint!! The sunshine and warmth was a welcome change from the last couple weeks, and it feels like its rays are highlighting the road before us.  As we pass by the multitude of towns and farmland, our conversations continue to reminisce about the ways the Lord led us to where we are today.  Who would have thought a decision to follow the Lord's directions, even when it didn’t seem to make any sense, would lead us to this?!

The song flowing through my head as we drive is from one of my Disney favorites, Brother Bear - where the story changes and the adventure started becomes enjoyable! If you know it you love it! Sing along with me!

🎶 Tell everybody I'm on my way

New friends and new places to see

With blue skies ahead

Yes, I'm on my way

And there's nowhere else that I'd rather be🎶

🎶Tell everybody I'm on my way

And I'm lovin' every step I take

With the sun beating down

Yes, I'm on my way

And I can't keep this smile off my face🎶
