Has Spring arrived? - Saturday March 14th, 2026

Finally, a day to sleep in!

Our hotel was located along the Tuckasegee River.  We arrived late last night to the sound of the flowing waters which alluded to what we could not see.  But as we rose the sun shone brightly over the river and breakfast was had on the patio so we could enjoy the view.

We are far enough south that we are starting to see the spring flowers popping.  The yellow of the daffodils popping out on the roadside bring a smile to my face and seem to share a promise that their northern siblings will be showing their faces to my family soon too. 🌼

My morning walk is shaded by the white flowers of the roadside trees, the Bradford Pear tree per my search.   Which has me humming “In the Garden”, one of my favorite hymns.

Today is only about moving from. One location to another.  And as we had a couple hours between hotels, we decided to take some time to tweak some small issues in the car.  Please don’t fret, it was all minor adjustments meant for better comfort.

Shout out to AutoZone in Sylva, NC!  The staff were so helpful and gracious.

And we finished the day with some fabulous food at Stone Bowl House.

This morning's devotions discuss having friends in faith who pray for each other.  And I’m reminded of the multitude of people back home praying for our trip.  Some pray heavily for protection, some pray for guidance, some pray for comfort, some pray for blessings.  This knowledge of so many of you praying fills my heart with warmth, and my cup runneth over. ❤️

“Therefore, comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.” - I Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭11‬

Thank you all for following along on this journey, and for all your prayers.  They are felt, they are invaluable, and you are loved.
